Winter Flights & De-Icing

What to Consider in Winter Season

When planning a private jet charter in winter, be sure to factor in the effect of de-icing on pricing.

De-Icing Is Not Included in the Base Price

De-icing is the removal of ice and snow from the aircraft's wings, fuselage and tail. It is a mandatory part of aviation safety and cannot be skipped. It may apply on any route with freezing risk during winter months (October–April).

Why does de-icing pricing vary? The de-icing fee depends on weather conditions, aircraft size, airport location and the amount of fluid used. An exact figure therefore cannot be given at the contract stage. For winter flights, we recommend adding a de-icing allowance of €500–€5.000 to your budget. The actual amount is invoiced after the flight and reported transparently.

On which routes is de-icing needed? In Northern Europe, Russia, Central Asia and at high-altitude airports, de-icing applies to nearly every flight during winter. On Mediterranean and Middle Eastern routes it is rarely required. Our team assesses the de-icing risk in advance based on your date and route, and keeps you informed.

Pricing Policy

Clear Communication, the Foundation of the Right Price

At B-Jet Aviation, our pricing process is built on transparency, accuracy and trust.

Why Do Prices Vary?

Private jet prices are directly affected by global fuel markets, seasonal demand, aircraft location (repositioning cost), airport congestion and exchange rates. That is why the same route can be priced differently on different dates. This is not uncertainty — it is how the market naturally works.

Clear Communication = Right Price

The most critical element in pricing is fully understanding the client's needs. How many passengers? Baggage volume? Pets on board? A meeting in flight? A winter route? All of these directly affect the price. Quotes based on incomplete information lead to surprise charges later — we do not accept that.

Advanced Pricing Tools

Our team uses tools integrated with real-time fuel price tracking, operator cost databases and airport tariff systems. This lets us offer the market's most competitive price while calculating every cost item in advance for a no-surprises experience .

Markup Policy

B-Jet Aviation operates as a commission agency. The client price is formed by adding a transparent service fee to the operator's base price. We do not accept hidden fees, surprise invoices or items added later. Every cost item is clearly stated at the quotation stage.
